James is 23 and based out of Derby. He has three years of commercial web development experience, particularly in ecommerce and transactional websites.

Help Guide #4: Helping Small Businesses improve their understanding of web design, branding, and business blogging! Interview with Richard Stelmach

Today for part 4 of our series we have an interview with the UK designer Richard Stelmach! Richard is going to talk to us about finding a balance between making your site unique and brandable versus usability as well as search engine optimisation and the uses of business blogging.

Richard runs the design company Creative Binge and you can view his portfolio here. He also runs a very useful design blog. Richard has been working in the design industry for 4 years and lately has been playing with social media sites and the traffic you can generate from them. He received a lot of traffic from Digg for a post entitled “What will Facebook look like in 40 years?”.

For part 2 of our help series we have an interview with Mathew Browne on what a small business can do to improve their web page and their search engine optimization efforts.

Mathew Browne is one of the leading web designers in the United Kingdom and provides design and search engine optimization services through his company MB Web Design! You can view his portfolio here and some SEO success stories here.

Mathew is 23 and got his start with web design at an early age, he won several national web design competitions before he had even finished school! He is a graduate of Computer Science at UCL and just finished a three year stint working in web and multimedia design at University College London. When he is not working he is posting on his blog or watching one of the big drama series Lost, Heroes, or Prison Break.
